# HealthChat Changes
|
|
|
|
Release notes for HealthChat builds of Element X. Each release adds a section at the
|
|
top; the release workflow extracts the one matching the version being released and
|
|
uses it as the TestFlight "What to Test" text.
|
|
|
|
The heading format is load-bearing — `.github/workflows/release-healthchat.yml`
|
|
matches `## Changes in <version>` exactly.
|
|
|
|
Upstream's `CHANGES.md` tracks element-hq's own releases and must not be edited here.
|
|
|
|
## Changes in 26.11.2 (2026-10-20)
|
|
|
|
🙌 Improvements
|
|
|
|
- The coloured fade at the top of the chat list, the highlight when jumping to a message and
|
|
the unread marker line now use HealthChat blue instead of Element green.
|
|
|
|
## Changes in 26.11.1 (2026-10-19)
|
|
|
|
🙌 Improvements
|
|
|
|
- Copyright in "About" now opens the HealthChat Impressum.
|
|
- The Labs entry with Element's experimental features is no longer shown.
|
|
- Analytics and crash reporting are switched off entirely: the "Analytics" settings and the
|
|
onboarding prompt are gone, and calls no longer send usage data to Element.
|
|
- "Report a problem" is hidden until HealthChat runs its own report server.
|
|
- The "Learn more" links on identity confirmation, device verification, chat backup, identity
|
|
changes and history sharing are gone; they led to Element's documentation.
|
|
- Location sharing is switched off: the attachment menu no longer offers it, and received
|
|
locations show a placeholder instead of a map that could not load.
|
|
|
|
⚠️ Known issues
|
|
|
|
- Incoming calls are labelled as video calls on the call screen; voice calls still connect
|
|
as voice calls.
|
|
- An "Incoming call" notification is shown next to the call screen, and a few notifications
|
|
may show generic text, while Apple reviews the notification filtering entitlement.
|
|
|
|
## Changes in 26.11.0 (2026-10-19)
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
- Message search: a new Search tab finds messages across all chats, including encrypted ones.
|
|
The index is built and kept on the device only; older history is indexed while the phone is
|
|
idle and charging.
|
|
- Forwarding: the picker suggests recently visited chats and loads beyond the first 100 rooms.
|
|
- Unread counts: the Chats tab shows the number of unread notifications.
|
|
|
|
🙌 Improvements
|
|
|
|
- Synced with upstream Element X 26.10.3 (Rust SDK 26.10.15).
|
|
- Notifications: stale notifications for chats read on another device are cleared, tapping a
|
|
notification opens the chat at its newest message, and a new "Show all activity" setting
|
|
explains what it covers.
|
|
- Recovery and chat backup switched to the new high-entropy passphrase mechanism.
|
|
- Faster image uploads: preparation no longer blocks the interface.
|
|
- Layout and colour fixes for iOS 27 and the new tab bar.
|
|
|
|
🐛 Bugfixes
|
|
|
|
- Crash when signing back in after a soft logout.
|
|
- Crash when confirming the server twice during sign-in.
|
|
- Media viewer no longer gets stuck on "Loading more…" when swiping.
|
|
- Formatting-only edits of a message render again.
|
|
- Failed reactions are shown as a send failure on the message.
|
|
- Background refresh now waits for the session to restore before syncing.
|
